Jack Black Expresses Embarrassment Over Twitter Verification Badge Amidst Elon Musk’s Plans for Twitter Blue

Jack Black has expressed his embarrassment over the blue tick badge on his Twitter profile as Elon Musk looks to enforce a subscription fee for Twitters’ verification service, Twitter Blue. Musk announced that on April 1, verified users would face having their verification badges removed if they did not pay the subscription fee. Despite this announcement, the blue ticks remain mostly intact, with only a few exceptions.

Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Black was asked whether he’d be willing to pay the £4.99 ($8) monthly fee to keep his verification badge. Black responded, “I’m gonna see what happens if I don’t pay for it. I’m gonna call his bluff, see if he really takes my check away.” Co-star Chris Pratt noted he would pay the fee, commenting that he cares deeply about connecting with all his followers.
