Breaking Bad: Producers Reveal There Could Be More Spin-Offs From The Show

One of the most popular shows in the world has been Breaking Bad, which was created by Vice Gilligan. Although the show ended in 2013, it is still very popular, in fact, its spin-off Better Call Saul, which has also been very successful, is preparing to broadcast its sixth and final season. Which is why the creator, along with producer Peter Gould, have revealed that there could be more spin-offs on the way.

During Breaking Bad Season 2 Episode 8, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) makes his first appearance as the corrupt mall lawyer advising Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). However, Odenkirk’s character became so popular that his role was expanded and a special story was prepared for him to air two years after the end of the main show.

Gilligan and Gould began developing a prequel series for the fan-favorite lawyer from Odenkirk, which premiered in 2015 called Better Call Saul. However, the producers revealed great details during the premiere of the sixth and final season of the show that began on April 11, 2022.

The duo seemed open to the possibility of more Breaking Bad spin-offs, though it’s not likely to happen in the immediate future, as both expressed interest in taking a break from the Breaking Bad universe to pursue other projects. Explaining that despite the love they have for the characters, they will take a break first to come back with new ideas.

“I love these characters, I love this world. Maybe one day, but personally I’m going to take a little break from that world and try something else, just to show that I can,” Gould said.

“I think that’s my answer too. There are stories to tell, but it’s not about proving something to the world, it’s about proving something to yourself. That thing I’m working on, hopefully someone will want to buy it, someone will want to do it,” Gilligan confirmed.

In terms of Breaking Bad spinoffs, however, a full origin story for meth kingpin and Los Pollos Hermanos owner Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) has long remained at the top of the charts. list of possible prequels, in fact, the same actor has expressed his interest in several opportunities in the past.
