Celine Dion is once again postponing her European tour. Initially announced for 2020, the shows will not take place before 2023.
Missed again! Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour was to pass through France in 2020, but due to the global health crisis, it has been postponed to 2021. The singer having suffered from fragile health in recent months, the dates have been rescheduled in 2022, between September 16 and 24. But unfortunately, the star’s fans will have to take their troubles patiently, because we learn today that the show will not finally pass on the territory before 2023.
“I’m so sorry to have to change our plans for the European tour,” she said in a video posted to Instagram. And to add “First we had to move the shows because of the pandemic, now it’s my health problems. I’m a little better… but I still have spasms. I need be in great shape when I’m on stage.” Celine Dion assures her, she “needs” to “be able to give herself 100%”.
This is a new blow for the faithful of Celine Dion, who have been waiting wisely to see her in concert in France for so many years. Indeed, the last time she performed here was in 2017. She had (obviously) sold out for her eight dates dispatched between Paris, Bordeaux, Lille and Lyon. As a reminder, in mid-January, the Canadian singer had been forced to cancel the last part of her North American tour, which was to resume on March 9 in Denver.

This disease from which Celine Dion suffers
Rumors about Celine Dion’s state of health have been particularly numerous for several months, so much so that a relative broke the silence last February to put an end to speculation. “She does not suffer from cancer or Alzheimer’s disease, as we have read,” assured this person in Le Parisien on February 7. Then to clarify: “Céline has had a digestive problem for a long time, and this causes muscle spasms but also weight loss. On her, who is already not thick, it shows. But this disease is not serious, it does not require an operation but requires a long medical treatment and a draconian diet”.
For his part, his brother and manager Michel Dion also wanted to reassure the fans. “It’s nothing serious,” he exclaimed on Canadian television. And to conclude: “She’s fine. She’s just recovering from her cramps. There are people taking care of it. Don’t worry. She’ll be back. That’s for sure!” The question now is when will she return?
