Marvel Cinematic Universe star Dave Bautista suggests Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 could be his last outing as Drax the Destroyer
The upcoming Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 could mark the end of Dave Bautista’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Drax the Destroyer, according to recent reports from INSPIREDTRAVELER.
During an interview, Bautista questioned the idea of his Marvel character returning to screens after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2023.

Bautista claimed that James Gunn actually raised the idea for a spinoff movie starring Drax and Mantis (Pom Klementieff), which the actor called a “brilliant idea.” That said, Marvel has not returned to Bautista regarding the possible project.

“I don’t think they’re very interested, or it doesn’t fit the way they have things planned,” Bautista said. “But other than that, no. I mean, as far as my duties go, I have Guardians 3, and that will probably be the end of Drax .”

The former WWE champion Dave Bautista joined the MCU as Drax the Destroyer in the film Guardians of the Galaxy Gunn 2014. Later reprised the role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol . 2, Avengers: Infinity War of 2018, and Avengers: Endgame of 2019.
Is expected to Bautista returns as Drax in the upcoming movie Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special for Disney +, which are scheduled for release in 2022, before resuming the role again for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 in 2023.
