Ozempic has gained attention due to well-known celebrities claiming to use the diabetes medication in order to shed a few pounds. Chelsea Handler and Kyle Richards have both opened up about their experiences with the medication and their thoughts on it.
Handler admitted she unknowingly ingested Ozempic, claiming her anti-aging doctor had prescribed her something called Semaglutide, but it wasn’t until a friend informed her that she realized what it was she had taken.
Richards, on the other hand, responded to speculation that she was using the medication, denying the claims and noting that she has instead resorted to a breast reduction in May to shed the pounds. Melissa Gorga from the Real Housewives of New Jersey even chimed in on the topic, noting how she thought Richards was using the meds.
Ozempic is a Type 2 diabetes medication and has become a popular topic in the diet community due to its ability to reportedly accelerate weight loss. It is important, however, to remind readers to consult a doctor about any medications or alternative dieting options as using prescription drugs for weight loss is highly irresponsible.
