DC fans have been waiting eagerly for the release of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, which is hitting cinemas this month. Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film features Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and his foster siblings transforming into superheroes once again to take on a new threat in the Daughters of Atlas. Zachary Levi returns as Shazam, and the cast also includes Adam Brody, Rachel Zegler, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou, and Helen Mirren.

If you plan on watching the film, make sure to stay until the end. Shazam! Fury Of The Gods features two scenes during the end credits: one after the mid-credits and another after the rest have rolled. DC has other films coming up in 2023, including The Flash (June 16), Blue Beetle (August 18), and Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom (December 25). Additionally, James Gunn has confirmed he will be directing a new Superman film, titled Superman Legacy, for the studio, scheduled to be released in July 2025.

Despite the hype surrounding the film, NME gave Shazam! Fury Of The Gods a two-star rating. The review states, “Fury Of The Gods gets a big silly ending which is occasionally fun, but there’s a cheap and clumsy feel to everything — a superhero sequel made in the same vague shape as a dozen others.”

Whether you are a die-hard DC fan or just enjoy superhero films, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods is definitely worth watching, if not for the storyline, then for the post-credit scenes that will keep you glued to your seat until the very end.
