Last week, we told you about Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, a 71-year-old man who pocketed the sum of $ 75 million while betting on the victory of the Houston Astros in the world series of baseball. This week, it’s rapper Drake who makes headlines for his sports betting and it’s not because he won his wager.

UFC 281 was held last Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York and the middleweight belt was on the line.

Former world champion Israel Adesanya of Nigeria was up against Brazil’s Alex Pereira in a title fight.

Perceived as the favorite to win the duel, Adesanya unfortunately lost to his opponent in the fifth round, losing the title of world champion at the same time.

Canadian rapper Drake had bet on nothing less than $2 million on the favorite winning, but he lost his bet.

So Drake woke up Sunday morning with $2 million less in his bank account.

He had already bet $ 1 million on a victory of Israel Adesanya, during his fight against Jared Canonnier, on July 2.

Having won the duel, Drake had good reason to believe in his chances at UFC 281.

Unfortunately for him, you can’t always predict the future.
