Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Takes Top Spot at Box Office

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has emerged victorious at the domestic weekend box office, earning $38.5 million and dethroning John Wick: Chapter 4. The film landed on the high end of its $30 million to $40 million domestic weekend box office expectations, and brought in another $33 million overseas, bringing its global total to $71.5 million.

In our review of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which had a production budget of $150 million, we said it “is an accessible fantasy adventure that both roasts and respects D&D culture without losing newcomers along for the ride.” The film also includes spells, creatures, and other D&D easter eggs.

Creed 3 rounded out the top five at the box office with a little lower $5 million performance. The third Creed film has earned $148 million domestically and $110 million internationally, for a global total of $258 million.
