The 26th edition of the Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival opened with great fanfare on January 16, 2023, during an exceptional ceremony. President Karin Viard presented her chosen jury including Bérangère Krief, Stéphane Foenkinos, Antoine Bertrand, and Camille Chamoux, and the first film screened in the Great Hall of the palace: La Bande à Fifi. Director and actor Philippe Lacheau premiered his anticipated new sequel to Alibi.com, the film that he had presented at the festival back in 2013 and which launched his career.

The cast in attendance alongside Lacheau included Reem Kherici, Julien Arruti, Tarek Boudali, Gad Elmaleh, Gérard Jugnot, Arielle Dombasle, Didier Bourdon and more. “I’m under pressure, because they haven’t seen the film,” Lacheau commented. Other attendees included Christophe Beaugrand, Anne Marivin, Chantal Ladesou, and Mickael Gregorio.

Produced by Lacheau and Elodie Fontan, Alibi.com 2 follows Greg and Flo as he tries to close his agency to be with her, and sets up one last scheme to avoid having to introduce her to his real, embarrassing parents. The movie, which is not in competition at Alpe d’Huez this year, is set to be released in cinemas on February 8, 2023.
