Elon Musk has started the week by being involved in a scandal that looks like something out of a movie. The Wall Street Journal says that the businessman had a secret affair with the wife of his best friend, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, which ended up causing the divorce of the latter when he discovered them and, of course, also meant the end of their close friendship.

By the dates offered by this medium, his alleged adventure with Nicole Shanahan would have coincided in time with the arrival in the world of his two youngest children, the result of his relationship with one of the executives of his companies. The rumors have gained so much strength that the founder of Tesla has decided to break his silence to clarify that he did not get in the way of anyone’s marriage and is even willing to reveal very personal information in order to prove it.

“I haven’t had sex in a long time,” he said in an email to The Post to clarify that the rumors are totally false. As proof of this, he has made public a recent photograph, taken exactly two hours ago, in which he appears with his friend to show that there is no tension between them. If her words are taken literally, that would imply that her twins were also born through surrogacy, just like the second offspring she has with her ex Grimes.

In a more serious tone, Elon Musk has wanted to completely disassociate himself from the personal situation in which his friend finds himself, who filed for divorce from his wife a few months ago. As far as Nicole is concerned, he maintains that they have only seen each other twice in the last three years and are always accompanied by other people.

“Sergey and Nicole’s divorce has nothing to do with me. I’m sure they would confirm it too. I have spoken to both of them about this issue and they say that they have not circulated the story, so it must be a case of misunderstandings, between two or three lawyers,” he said.
