MADRIDReuters) – The operator of the Spanish gas network Enagás reported on Tuesday a 5% increase in its annual profit and said that its accounts had not been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Net profit for 2020 rose to 444 million euros, up from 422.6 million euros a year ago, while revenue fell 5.8% to 1.08 billion euros, the company said.
“No significant changes have been identified with respect to the situation presented throughout 2020, which reveal impacts derived from the Covid-19 situation in the financial information as of December 31, 2020,” Enagás said in a release.
“The Spanish Gas System has operated with total normality despite the adverse conditions caused by the Covid-19 crisis,” the company added.
The company will propose a dividend of 1.68 euros per share, 5% more than the previous year.
