Eternals 2 Release Date and Everything We Know

Marvel’s Eternal’s is one of the biggest and most ambitious movies you will ever see. This is one of the best sequel movies and is quite eye-grabbing amongst the fans. The Academy Award winner Chloe Zhao film is both a historical epic and sweeping love story that covers across the millennia and brings something totally new to the superhero genre of marvel films. In short, we can say Eternals is indeed one of the riskiest ventures yet it is also a long-overdue step towards true inclusion and representation in the MCU in numerous ways. So, if Eternals 2 does happen it will be quite interesting to see if it can push the boundaries of the Marvel movie again or not.

Eternals also tells the story of the Eternals who is behind an ancient race of aliens who were actually sent on earth thousands of years ago by the Celestial, Arnhem. The ultimate aim to send them here was to protect and watch over the humanity that guards against the threat of the Deviants and the Eternals enemies. For thousands of years, they have been living in shadows and going their separate ways 500 years ago. Now when the Deviants begin to reemerge the Eternals must reunite in order to save the planet they love. As of now, it is currently unclear whether this upcoming venture of Marvel will fare at the box office or not. It also leads us to wonder whether Eternals 2 will be greenlit or not. In regard to that here’s everything we know about Eternals 2.

Will Marvel Make Eternals 2?

We are not sure about this statement at present because the answer to this question is a big question mark for everyone. Aside from The Incredible Hulk which was canonized in the MCU, every marvel movie is about an individual super or a team that has gotten sequels. So we can say Eternals may be the one MCU movie that is set up in such a  great way that it has created a foundation for the greater MCU movie to be a launchpad for another individual franchise.

A very long time ago Marvel Producer Nata More even said in his interview:  “It’s not something that is a must-have. Obviously, we have ideas of where we could go, but there isn’t a hard and fast rule where we have to have three of these things and this is the first.” Marvel has always been a bit cagey with their responses to questions about the future, but it’s clear that they’re not in any rush to greenlight Eternals 2–not yet, at least.

WHAT IS THE ETERNALS 2 RELEASE DATE?

Since Marvel Studios has not greenlit the sequel, Eternals 2 does not have a release date as of now. So whenever marvel studios confirm the Eternals 2 we can then expect news on the release date of the movie. However, according to our sources, the movie might not be available until 2023 because the movie is not ready to be released.
AC Bradley also said: Going into the second season, we’re sticking with anthology form, and it’s going to be all-new stories, lots of fun, new heroes, and pulling more from Phase Four than we were obviously able to this season.

WHO IS IN THE ETERNALS 2 CAST?

The Eternals 2 will likely see the return of the following cast members:

  • Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo
  • Brian Tyree Henry as Phaistos
  • Lauren Ridloff as Makkari
  • Barry Keoghan as Druig
  • Kit Harington as Dane Whitman
  • Angelina Jolie as Thena

We can also expect to see Lia McHugh who will return to replay her character that is now transformed into a mortal that is unknown. We might not see Salma Hayek’s Ajak and Don Lee’s Gilgamesh in the Eternals 2 because their characters passed away in the season. It is also currently unclear if we will be able to see Richard Madden’s character again or not especially after he betrayed his fellow Eternals and failed in his mission. Harry Styles is also said to join the cast of Eternals 2 as the charismatic brother of Thanos. Other cast members confirmation is still awaited from the makers.

WHAT IS THE PLOT OF ETERNALS 2?

The exact storyline or plot of Eternals 2 is still not clear and unknown. However, what we do know from the end of Eternals part 1 is that the story will revolve around Arishem’s kidnapping of Sersi, Phaistos and Kingo after they have stopped the emergence from happening. It also seems like the rescue is also part of the plan and it may involve the help of Harry Styles character Eros, who Thena, Makkari, and Drug encounter during the mid-credits scene. There is also a character named Dane Whitman who inherits the Ebony Blade and becomes Black Knight that we will see in the post-credits scene. The Eternals 2 may also see Whitman becoming a hero to save his girlfriend from Arishem’s clutches. So we can hopefully have to wait for an eternity for what happens in Eternals 2.

Is there an Eternals 2 trailer?

There is no trailer for Marvel’s Eternals 2 as of now. We are not even aware of if the film is going to be made at this point in time or not. Now even if it does get the green light we can expect small footage from the movie anytime soon.
