Late rapper Gangsta Boo’s upcoming posthumous album is set to feature a star-studded lineup of fellow rap artists, including Run The Jewels, Skepta, Latto, La Chat, and Crunchy Black, among others. The album’s producer will include Drumma Boy, Nick Hook, and El-P from Run The Jewels. Gangsta Boo’s former team members from Three 6 Mafia, DJ Paul and Juicy J, along with Metro Boomin and BeatKing, are also reportedly in talks to provide some production. No official release date has been confirmed for the album, but sources tell TMZ Hip Hop that it is planned for release on August 7, which would have been the late rapper’s 44th birthday. Gangsta Boo began her music career at the age of 15 and joined Three 6 Mafia after catching the attention of DJ Paul during a school talent show. She went on to release multiple influential rap records with the group before releasing her debut solo album ‘Enquiring Minds’ in 1998. Gangsta Boo passed away on January 1 at the age of 43, and sources close to her reveal that the death scene showed “narcotics were found on her person, and that a fentanyl-laced substance” was involved in her death.
