Genshin Impact Version 3.6 Guide: New Characters, Events and More!
Genshin Impact Version 3.6 is set to be one of the biggest updates yet, with new characters, events, and a brand new region to explore. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming update!
Release Date
The 3.6 release date has been officially confirmed as April 12, 2023.
Livestream
The Version 3.6 Special Program took place on Friday 31 March at 5:00am PT/8:00am ET/1:00pm BST/2:00pm CEST. The Special Program is available to watch on the Genshin YouTube channel.
Banners
The Genshin banner schedule has been confirmed for Version 3.6! The first phase banners will be Nahida’s The Moongrass’ Enlightenment, and Nilou’s Twirling Lotus. The second phase banners will be Baizhu’s Immaculate Pulse, and Ganyu’s Adrift in the Harbor. These banners will also feature new 4-star character Kaveh.
New Characters
Version 3.6 will introduce two new characters: Kaveh and Baizhu. Kaveh is a four-star Dendro Claymore user, a passionate and idealistic architect. Baizhu is a five-star Dendro Catalyst user, who appears with his snake Changsheng. He’s an expert in medicine, and owns Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue.
New Content
A new catalyst weapon, Jadefall’s Splendor, will be introduced, as well as two new artifact sets: Nymph’s Dream and Vourukasha’s Glow.
New Quests
There will be a new Nahida Story Quest, Sapienta Oromasdis Chapter: Act 2, and new Baizhu Story Quest, Lagenaria Chapter: Act 1. A Layla Hangout event will also arrive in Version 3.6.
New Enemies
Two new bosses are arriving in 3.6: Dragon of Verdure, a large green dragon who once ruled over Sumeru. This dragon is afflicted by an ailment, and will be part of a three-phase battle. Iniquitous Baptist The Hydro and Anemo Hilichurl Rogues will also be introduced to the game.
Events
The following new events will arrive in 3.6:
– A Parade of Providence: A celebration hosted by the Akademiya in Sumeru, the Akademiya Extravaganza will feature two main events: the Wisdom Gala and Interdarshan Championship. There will be six mini-games on offer, one for each of the six Darshans, showcasing their specialisms. Rewards will include Crown of Insight, Primogems, ascension and level-up materials, and a free Faruzan.
– Brewing Developments
– Overflowing Mastery
– Fulminating Sandstorm: In this event, you’ll fight in the desert of Sumeru, using the Wenutslayer Cannon.
– The Recollector’s Path: Using a gadget, you’ll be able to fly a sprite called Sorush around, completing challenges.
New Area
There will be a brand new area found deep in the deserts of Sumeru. According to HoYoVerse, this new area will consist of “wastelands and an oasis”, and was formerly a battleground of the Khaenri’ah cataclysm 500 years ago. In the oasis, players will find “Pari”, creatures that will help them traverse the area using their powers of flight.
