The Internet has found its latest obsession in some rare photos of resurgent Harry Styles as Ariel, Princess animated film “The Little Mermaid” Disney. The images were taken during the participation of the former One Direction in the 2019 Saturday Night Live (SNL) show when it was rumored that he would be in the live-action of this film; but these images never came to light, until now.
With a fiery red wig, a mermaid costume, and champagne in hand, the Watermelon Sugar singer has become the most talked-about of social media users.
And, unsurprisingly, the images that emerged unexpectedly have elicited quite amusing reactions from fans of the British artist; especially after learning that the actor, too, will not be in Disney’s live-action “The Little Mermaid”.
The current wave looks a lot like the response Styles elicited last year in November with a Vogue cover, where he appeared in gender-fluid clothing.

In 2019 it was speculated that Styles would be part of the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid in the role of Prince Eric. However, he turned down the role citing his focus on music as the reason.
“I want to put out music and focus on it for a while… But everyone involved was amazing. So I think it’s going to be great,” he told Face magazine.
