Jamie Lee Curtis recently spoke about her experience as a “nepo baby” at the SAG Awards. The daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, Curtis discussed her first television show, “Operation Petticoat”, which was based on a movie her father starred in. She went on to say that if she hadn’t been fired from the show, she would have never had the opportunity to audition for the horror movie “Halloween”. Curtis also spoke about her parents, who came from Hungary and Denmark with nothing, and went on to become stars in the industry they loved.

Curtis’ speech was followed by controversy surrounding Mark Wahlberg’s presentation of an ensemble award to the cast of “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, due to his history of hate crimes.

Curtis’ story is an inspiring one, showing that even if you have a privileged background, hard work and determination can still lead to success. It also serves as a reminder that the road to fame is never easy, and that with the right attitude, anything is possible.
