Jen Shah, star of the hit reality show ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, has paid tribute to her family in the form of two tattoos. The first tattoo is located on her forearm and reads ‘Keiki’, which means ‘child’ in Hawaiian. The second tattoo is located on the inside of her arm and features the names of her husband, Sharrieff, and her two sons, Sharrieff Jr. and Omar, written in cursive.
The ink comes just one month after Shah was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, plus five years of supervised release, for her alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme. After the sentence was handed down, the reality star tearfully apologized to her family and asked for their forgiveness.
The conviction and sentence demonstrate that the law takes financial fraud seriously. Along with her guilty plea, Shah agreed to forfeit $6.5 million and to pay restitution of up to $9.5 million. In December, she asked the presiding judge for a reduced sentence of three years behind bars instead of the advisory sentencing of 11 to 14 years in prison.
Shah’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions. With her tattoos, Shah has honored her family and shown her commitment to making amends.
