Lady Gaga Steps into Harley Quinn’s Iconic Eye Makeup and Clothing on the Set of Joker: Folie à Deux
Pop star Lady Gaga was spotted in New York recently, shooting for Joker: Folie à Deux. The pictures show her sporting Harley Quinn’s iconic eye makeup and diamond-patterned clothing. This is the first time she has been seen in Harley Quinn’s look since she was cast in the upcoming sequel.
On the set, Gaga was photographed with Gotham Police Department officers and a mob of Gotham citizens who appeared to be protesting. Many of the citizens could be seen donning Joker-inspired face paint and masks, and holding signs reading “Free Joker,” probably implying that Arthur Fleck wouldn’t get away with what he did on the Murray Franklin Show.
One of the many signs in the crowd featured the name “Harvey Dent,” indicating that the character might be involved in the sequel. Harvey Dent, who is best known as his alter ego Two-Face, is set to appear in Joker: Folie à Deux, according to some reports. Dent is the prominent District Attorney of Gotham City, and some might speculate that he is the one to put Arthur Fleck behind bars.
Director Todd Phillips has reportedly made Joker: Folie à Deux a musical, but very little is known about the movie so far aside from a couple of character teases. The movie will exist outside of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe, alongside Matt Reeves’ Batman movies.
