Beyond his overwhelming success in music, Maluma has also distinguished himself for his unparalleled gestures of solidarity. An example of this is the recent gift that the interpreter of ‘Felices los cuatro’ made a boy from his native Medellin, Colombia.
Through his foundation, The Art of Dreams, the singer supports hundreds of minors in vulnerable situations, so this time, yesu support came in the form of a house for Bastián, a 12-year-old boy diagnosed with cancer. Through his Instagram account, the musician shared a video of the emotional moment to his more than 62 million followers.
“Dreams do come true, welcome to your new home Bastián!”, the artist wrote next to a video in which he is seen accompanying the minor to the property that he will soon inhabit. “We brought you here to this project so that you help us by giving your approval,” Maluma is heard saying in the clip.
Bastian burst into tears upon receiving a letter from the singer, where he warned him that he would be the owner of the house. “I’m going to say a few words. Fight for your dreams, they come true. Don’t stop fighting, they take time but they come. Always. And how do I feel? Happy, I’m jumping on one leg,” said the minor.
Maluma immediately received congratulations for his emotional gesture from other artists such as Mike Bahía, Felipe Peláez, Mau y Ricky, J Balvin and Wisin.
