Netflix is a recognized streaming platform in which you can watch content of all kinds, whether for adults and children, from comedies, action and even animation. But the greatest talent of this platform is surprising all its followers with its releases and this time it has achieved it by launching a brief preview of Jupiter’s Legacy, the streaming service’s upcoming superhero series based on the graphic novel by Mark Millar and the illustrator Frank Quitely that will hit the platform.
Millar He is a Scottish comic scriptwriter, he has developed much of his work in large superhero publishing houses. For example in DC, he signed what is considered one of the best alternative stories of Superman, ‘Red son‘.
While the teaser does not include any actual footage outside of some layers of CGI, but something that can be observed is the release date of May 7, 2021 and a deep narration courtesy of the sweet tones of Josh Duhamel.
“One day you will be stronger than anyone else in the world, ”says Duhamel’s character. “Every evil you can imagine will rise against humanity, not for justice, but for revenge. And you will be the future”.
That fits perfectly with the story of “Jupiter’s LegacyWhich sees an earlier generation of costumed superheroes looking for a younger class of superhumans to carry the load, only to find a clash of superpower ideals and methods.
People say that Netflix It’s done its best for this one, given the streamer’s fleet of money dump trucks, and the result should be the kind of superhero epic everyone’s been used to for a decade now.
It also makes sense for Netflix, which is looking to build its own gigantic MUC franchise based on the works of Mark Millar and his “Millaworld”. Done right, Jupiter’s legacy could be that springboard.
The series stars interesting characters such as Leslie Bibb ( Iron Man ), Ben Daniels ( The Crown ), Elena Kampouris ( Sacred Lies ), Andrew Horton (How to talk to girls at parties), Mike Wade (For the people) and Matt Lanter ( Timeless).
This series is scheduled to last 8 episodes, one being released weekly as it usually happens within the renowned streaming platform with almost all its programming.
