Bob Odenkirk stars in the film directed by Ilya Naishuller from a script by Derek Kolstad, creator of the Keanu Reeves saga. Will we see both characters together on the big screen?

Nobody, the film starring Bob Odenkirk, has already reached theaters and comparisons with John Wick have been appearing since before its release. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film follows Hutch Mansell, a man with a passive attitude towards life until his house is broken into. It is then that the protagonist returns to the violent world of his past, in which he worked with dangerous men. The connection between the saga starring Keanu Reeves and this film exists since they share a screenwriter: Derek Kolstad. In addition, its plot is also reminiscent of the killer franchise. Given this, Is it possible that we see a ‘crossover’ between both characters? The director of Nobody has answered that question.

Naishuller has not closed the door to John Wick and Hutch Mansell’s meeting in the future but has also stressed that it is difficult to happen. “I love it when people ask, ‘Is this the same universe?” Begins the director on IndieWire. “I tell them, Okay, I can’t say anything. But what you should do is look at which studio has made each movie and then think about the reality of doing a crossover. This is all I’ll say. I mean, everything is possible. Stranger things have happened, but… Yes,” he says.

If we follow the director’s statements and look at the studies that have carried out in each of the films, the options for the ‘crossover’ to occur are non-existent. While the John Wick saga is from Lionsgate, Nobody is from Universal. However, as Naishuller also points out, stranger things have been seen in the world of cinema.

Kolstad, the John Wick screenwriter, on the other hand, has stated on CB that he believes the ‘crossover’ shouldn’t happen. “I think they are separate things that, if they were to meet at some point, it would be about the two of them walking through an airport and greeting each other,” he explains. “I think that’s much more interesting because, at a certain point when worlds collide, as a person who loves these kinds of movies, he always seems desperate at that moment. And in none of these things do I ever want to find myself in a desperate place. I would prefer it to be a little wink and a greeting to each other and to the public,” he concludes.

Nobody, at the moment, only has one delivery. John Wick, on the other hand, has already released three films – John Wick (A Good Day to Kill) , John Wick: Blood Pact and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum – and a fourth and a fifth are already underway – John Wick 4 and John Wick 5. Would you like to see these two characters sharing the universe? On these lines, do not miss the trailer for Nobody.
