Apple TV+ is bringing a new competition series centring around country music called “My Kind of Country” that will start streaming on 24th March. It features Orville Peck, Jimmie Allen, and Mickey Guyton as judges for aspiring country singers. The show is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Mulgraves, and it will take place in Nashville. All three judges agreed that the most challenging part of the competition was telling singers who did not make it to the next round. It was disheartening for them as they had invested so much time and energy in the contestants. Peck explained that picking which artists moved forward, and who went home was difficult, and the people were all exceptional talents with unique skills. The judges would drink to help gather the courage to deliver bad news. However, Allen had a different approach to sending candidates home; he advised them that winning or losing did not mean their talent or future success was any less valid. The show will premiere on 24th March.
