  • Good news for Outer Banks fans! The second season of the series has already finished filming.

Netflix is no stranger to popular series, and its roster of original shows has only become less mainstream over the years. One of the streaming service’s biggest hits in 2020 was Outer Banks, the riveting teen drama that debuted over the summer.

As we’ve mentioned in The Truth News, fans have been eager to see exactly what season two holds for the Pogues, and it seems they are now one step closer to finding out.

According to social media posts by some of the series’ stars, including Instagram posts by Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline, filming for season two has officially ended.

Outer Banks is created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke. All three will return for season 2 as showrunners and executive producers. Also returning are series stars Stokes, Cline, Bailey, Daviss, Pankow, Austin North, Starkey, Deion Smith, and Esten.

Outer Banks is one of the most-watched series on Netflix.

The series quickly and surprisingly found a place among Netflix’s weekly Top 10 feature, with reports indicating that only Tiger King and Ozark had surpassed the series at the time of its debut last year.

At the moment, Netflix has not revealed the release date of the new episodes. Are you excited to watch Netflix’s Outer Banks season 2?
