When does Overlord season 4 premiere?

Fans believe that the Japanese animation show will premiere its fourth anime season in 2021. However, the team just confirmed season 4 on its official site and this could mean that new episodes will arrive even in early or mid-2022.

The first anime season premiered in 2015 and is adapted from Kugane Maruyama’s popular light novel that features art by artist so-bin. The series takes place in the year 2126 and focuses on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game called YGGDRASIL.

As the servers shut down, the strongest player in the game, Momonga, remains connected and is transported to a different reality. Non-playable characters gain sensitivity and Momonga uses his ridiculous power to find out what happened while searching for anyone else in the real world.

The announced full team includes Naoyuki Ito, Yukie Sugawara as script supervisor, so-bin for original character design, and Satoshi Tasaki in charge of character design at Madhouse studio.

Satoshi Hino will return as Ainz, while Yumi Hara, Sumire Uesaka, Emiri Kato, Yumi Uchiyama, Masayuki Katou, and Kenta Miyake will also reprise their respective roles for Season 4.

The full fantasy anime, including the first three seasons and the two films (which are recaps rather than theatrical releases), are available to watch now on Funimation; both in subtitled and dubbed form.

No release date was given for the third film or season 4 animated by Madhouse studio, but two pieces of art were released, which you can see above in this article.
