Game Freak has announced Legends Pokémon Arceus, an open-world action-role-playing game set in the feudal past of the Sinnoh region (the location of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl). Also, it has been confirmed that the title will arrive early next year 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
Announced during today’s Pokémon Presents stream, the game showcased a world reminiscent of the one we’ve seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, covered in wild Pokémon to catch and apparently using some action mechanics not seen in other games. of the saga. The goal is to create Sinnoh’s first Pokedex and it includes exploration, Pokémon catching, and a version of the series’ traditional turn-based battles.

It has also been confirmed that the game aims to “open new paths” for the Pokémon series. Plus, it will feature Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as partner Pokémon. The game will focus on the mythical Pokémon Arceus, but no further details of the story were given.
On the other hand, we know that the player will travel from the center of the town of Sinnoh to different areas of the region, using traditional Poké Balls to capture monsters. However, unlike the traditional capture that we all know, the official page of the game says that you will have to “Watch them to learn their behavior, then sneak up on them, aim your Poké Ball, and fly.”.
In any case, it is not the only new Pokémon game set in Sinnoh. In this event the remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have also been presented. And both will be released at the end of this year 2021. If you wish, you can read the rest of the information about these remakes through this other article.
