Queen + Adam Lambert Announce North American Leg of Rhapsody Tour 2023
Queen + Adam Lambert are set to embark on the North American leg of their Rhapsody tour this fall. As Variety reports, the tour will commence on October 4 and finish on November 11, featuring 14 shows. The sole Canadian date takes place on October 8th at Toronto’s Scotiabank Centre. Lambert expressed his excitement for the tour, saying that every time he receives the call, he gets more excited. He also noted that the audiences keep getting bigger and younger, with multi-generations attending the shows which is amazing for the band.
Guitarist Brian May, who recently became Sir Bri in light of his impending knighthood from King Charles, revealed that the entire production revolves around the songs, and the band plans on playing more of their deeper cuts to stimulate themselves and provide a more dynamic experience for the audience. The band is committed to keeping the music live, without click tracks or backing tracks. Queen + Adam Lambert plan to implement special measures to prevent ticket scalpers from gouging fans with their high prices. On the advice of their promoters, they plan to prevent tickets from being resold for more than their original value.
The Rhapsody Tour is a continuation of the success the band saw with their “The Rhapsody Approaches” tour in 2019, which generated nearly $59 million, according to figures reported by Billboard Boxscore. The Rhapsody Tour 2023 dates are Wed Oct 04 – Baltimore, MD – CFG Bank Arena; Sun Oct 08 – Toronto, ON — Scotiabank Arena; Tue Oct 10 — Detroit, MI – Little Caesars Arena; Thu Oct 12 – New York, NY – Madison Square Garden; Sun Oct 15 – Boston, MA – TD Garden; Wed Oct 18 — Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center; Mon Oct 23 — Atlanta, GA – State Farm Arena; Wed Oct 25 – Nashville, TN – Bridgestone Arena; Fri Oct 27 – St. Paul, MN – Xcel Energy Center; Mon Oct 30 — Chicago, IL – United Center; Thu Nov 02 – Dallas, TX – American Airlines Center; Sun Nov 05 — Denver, CO – Ball Arena; Wed Nov 08 – San Francisco, CA – Chase Center; and Sat Nov 11 – Los Angeles, CA – BMO Stadium.
Despite the changing landscape of the music industry and the pandemic-related restrictions, Queen + Adam Lambert remain committed to providing a visually stunning and musically exciting experience for their fans. The band’s dedication to their craft and preventing their fans from getting ripped off by scalpers could propel the Rhapsody Tour to even greater success than before.
