Spanish singer Rosalía made an appearance at the Prada fashion show during Milan Fashion Week, where the Italian brand showcased a collection characterized by unconventional fabric combinations. From velvet to chiffon, the garments were adorned with various techniques such as fringes, studs, and hand embroidery.
The creative duo behind Prada, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, sought to pay tribute to the art of tailoring with a collection that reinvents classic sewing techniques in combinations that are only possible in the 21st century, yet draw inspiration from the aesthetics of the 1950s and 1960s.
Right from the start, the Milanese brand hinted at its interest in contrasting materials when a viscous liquid fell on the pristine pastel-toned runway, serving as decoration for the show.
The staging managed to surprise a star-studded audience, with all eyes on Rosalía. The singer opted for a classic gray ensemble with a white shirt and was joined by her friend Kylie Jenner in one of her first public appearances since the end of the Motomami tour.
The event also saw the attendance of actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Scarlett Johansson, Vincent Cassel, and Emma Watson.
On the second day of Milan Fashion Week, Emporio Armani, Moschino, and Tom Ford also presented their collections. Fendi kicked off the runway the previous day with a show marked by geometric designs, contrasting primary colors with a palette of grays, and clear references to the brand’s Roman origins.
Overall, Milan Fashion Week continues to captivate audiences with its innovative collections and remarkable runway presentations.
