Marvel has been always fascinating when it comes to their set designing and costumes. Recently during a conversation, Salma Hayek reflected on her Marvel’s Eternals costume. The new Marvel flick will be having a star-studded cast with actors like Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, coming together on the big screen for the first time.
I Was Terrified!
After recovering from her foot injury, Salma Hayek spilled beans on her participation in Marvel’s Eternals. During the interview, the Mexican actress said that she has high expectations regarding the project and that the movie will reach a much broader audience than before.
“I’m claustrophobic. I was terrified of the idea of the suit. I was terrifying. Because if it does not allow me to move and it weighs a lot … I thought I was not going to be able to breathe, that I was going to go crazy,” said Hayek.

Salma Hayek Will Play A Mexican Superhero
During the same interview, Salma Hayek shared details about her character, sharing some information regarding the same. She revealed that her character is a female version of superhero Ajak, who is the leader of Eternals. Hayek revealed that at first, she had a doubt regarding the costume and clothing of the character. This will be the first time that Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature a Mexican superhero, especially a female one.
Hayek’s Take On Aging
“Ageism is a very worrying problem in Hollywood and we as artists have to deal with it,” said Hayek commenting on the aging problem in Hollywood.
Eternals is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, moreover, apart from the star-studded cast, it is being directed by Choe Zhao, who recently won two Oscars for her film Nomadland.
