After the success of ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’, fans have dreamed of seeing a new installment in the sagas of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. And not only them, because Sam Raimi, director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, believes that it is still possible to make his fourth installment, and work with his entire cast again.

It was back in 2011 when Sony planned to launch ‘Spiderman 4’ with Tobey Maguire, which would close the story of this Peter Parker. But things between Sam Raimi, his protagonist, and the studio did not go very well, and he finally decided to restart the franchise to make way for Andrew Garfield. But luck repeated itself, and Disney decided that the best idea was to put the character in the UCM.

Will Tobey Maguire Return For ‘Spider-Man 4’?

After tapes like ‘The Master Move’ or ‘The Great Gatsby’, Tobey Maguire took a break from acting, which led him to be away from the cameras for more than 7 years. ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ marked his return in style, and now he has returned to work on different productions, and fans are waiting for the canceled Spider-Man movie to finish.

Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire have repeatedly reiterated their interest in retaking their Spider-Man saga, but neither Sony nor Marvel have shown any interest in making it happen. But with the exploration of the Multiverse, and the impressive revenue these films generated, it may be the perfect opportunity to return to these universes.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ opens on May 6, and two days before in Latin America, and it is rumored that Sam Raimi will present Tobey Maguire again in his Peter Parker variant. While nothing is confirmed, clues indicate that there could be more of this act in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe very soon.
