Simu Liu Leaves Disney World’s Candlelight Processional Due to Health Concerns

Simu Liu, the 34-year-old actor, recently announced that he will not be able to participate in Disney World’s 2023 Candlelight Processional due to health concerns. He expressed his disappointment on Instagram, stating that the health of himself and his family is his top priority. Although he did not provide specific details about the health scares, he made the difficult decision to stay home.

Originally scheduled to be one of the celebrities narrating the processional at the American Gardens Theatre at EPCOT, Liu’s absence was felt by fans who were looking forward to seeing him. However, singer-songwriter Bart Millard stepped in to replace him, joining other celebrities such as John Stamos, Neil Patrick Harris, Brendan Fraser, Eva Longoria, Sterling K. Brown, and Lisa Ling.

Earlier this month, Liu attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Los Angeles with a right leg injury sustained during a basketball tournament. Despite being on crutches, he was determined to attend the event and enjoy the festivities. He emphasized the importance of not letting unforeseen circumstances prevent him from participating in activities he enjoys.

His decision to stay home serves as a valuable lesson in taking care of oneself, especially during the holiday season when the spirit of giving often takes precedence.
