Stranger Things, the fictional and suspenseful drama that has been absent from fans’ screens for almost three years, will finally be back with Season 4 episodes starting on May 27, 2022, when the first wave of installments debut on the Netflix streaming platform, while the second batch is scheduled for July 11.
Season 4 of Stranger Things is one of the most anticipated by Netflix users. The series presented a delay of almost three years, due to the global health crisis that has been affecting television productions in general. According to reports, the new installment of the series will be the biggest of all, since the 9 episodes that it will have under its belt will be loaded with special effects.
Fans of Stranger Things with season 4 will be able to notice the changes in the horror stories that the creators of the drama prepared, while the group of friends this time is divided between Hawkins and California. The next arc of the series also promises to bring emotional moments especially for Eleven, the girl with telekinetic powers played by Millie Bobby Brown.
Stranger Things lead star Millie Bobby Brown during a recent interview revealed what fans can expect when Season 4 of the series premieres on Netflix. An important clue about Eleven’s fate was shared by the actress when she stated that in the next episodes her character will be able to do things that she never did in previous installments.
The actress stated that Stranger Things season 4 promises to be darker than the others, and this was the reason why it was difficult for her to film. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Millie Bobby Brown also revealed that the new episodes will offer fans a glimpse into Eleven’s childhood.
“You will see Eleven in her darkest state. This was definitely the hardest season I’ve ever shot. It has some of the scariest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” the actress explained. “Eleven’s childhood story has yet to be shown. There are still a lot of issues to be resolved. Some of the biggest mysteries on the show.”
And as for what Eleven will do in season 4 of Stranger Things, in another interview Millie Bobby Brown revealed that the drama will explore the relationship between her character and Joyce Byers, the one played by Winona Ryder. Without a doubt, this will be one of the most important arcs so far, since the past of the girl with powers has never been narrated in the series created by the Duffer brothers.
Recall that at the end of Stranger Things season 3, Eleven moves with Joyce, Will, and Jonathan to California. And unsurprisingly, she sees Ryder’s character as a mother figure, Millie Bobby Brown said. There is no doubt that the Byers’ mother will be a great support for her during the terrible events that are to come.
“Naturally, she sees this mother figure as an inspiration. This is something that Eleven has never done. So you can see how this relationship takes its natural progression.”
