We are only a few weeks away from the premiere of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” in our country, and fans are waiting for one of the most ambitious films in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. But now, the Disney company is going through a little controversy thanks to one of the new posters launched in Italy.

A few months ago, the advertising campaign for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ began, and in it, we have seen multiple references to what is coming in the next film by Benedict Cumberbatch for the UCM, among them, the appearance of Professor Xavier, Deadpool, Peggy Carter, and many other rumours.

However, now Sam Raimi’s new movie has gone viral again thanks to the new poster in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ that, inadvertently, one of the protagonist’s gestures has been considered offensive in Italy, and Marvel Studios hastily censored it, and modified it to avoid future problems.

Reddit user U/MCU_Speculation noted Benedict Cumberbatch’s hand gesture on the ‘Doctor Strange 2’ poster, which resembles horns, and which in Italy and elsewhere is considered an insult. Instead, Marvel has modified the promo, and replaced it with a meaningless sign behind it.

The poster for ‘Doctor Strange 2’ does not keep any more interesting references, as Marvel has hidden in previous promotional some of the cameos that are being prepared for his next film, which is expected to be the true exploration of the Multiverse since ‘Spiderman: No Way’ Home’.

Some of the most anticipated cameos within “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is that of Superior Iron Man, a variant of Tony Stark, belonging to another universe, and which would be played by Tom Cruise. And although there are not many leaks, and rumors from the trailer, Marvel has not confirmed that this will happen.

The premiere of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will be on April 4 in Mexico and other parts of Latin America, and two days later for the rest of the world. So we can expect that the next few weeks will be full of details about what we will see in the next film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Benedict Cumberbatch.
