Why is Celine Dion postponing her European tour to 2023?

Celine Dion fans will still have to be patient. In a video posted on YouTube, the singer announced that she was forced to postpone her planned tour in Europe once again. Canceled for the first time due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the concerts have been postponed to 2023 due to health issues. “I’m so sorry, saddened to have to push back…”, confided the singer.

In France, the six concerts scheduled at the Paris La Défense Arena are therefore postponed to September 2023 when they were initially scheduled for summer 2020, then in March 2021 and finally in September 2022. However, the exact dates remain to be confirmed.

Celine Dion explains in the video to suffer from “muscle spasms”. “The good news is that I still feel a little better. But it sure isn’t going fast enough and it’s super frustrating for me. My doctors are following me. I’m getting treatments, details the singer. The recovery takes a lot longer than I thought. But I have to be in good shape, in good health so that I can give 100% of myself on stage because that’s what you deserve.”
