The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios’ new series on Disney + connected directly to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debuts this week and little by little we are seeing more teasers and commercials about the attraction. And the newest advertisement, related to the Xbox, brought an unusual revelation of an extra mentioned in an amusing passage of Avengers: Endgame.
The announcement about Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service ran on Twitter earlier this week and features Sam Wilson / Hawk (Anthony Mackie) talking to a video game store employee named Aaron (DC Pierson). Conversation comes and goes, at the end of the dialogue, Aaron says that his “gamertag” (or his gamer identification) is Noobmaster69.
If you refresh your memory, you will remember that the same name was mentioned as an opponent who defeated the alien Korg in a game of Fortnite, when he was with Thor in a “republic” in northern Europe, in Avengers: Endgame. The scene is very fun, and the God of Thunder even offends Noobmaster69 during online gambling. The excerpt below can help you remember that moment:
It is worth mentioning that the same character, Aaron, also appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when he comes across Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff fleeing Hydra. On the occasion Aaron appears with an employee of an Apple Store. As they say, “everything at Marvel is connected”. Apparently, even really small details, and in commercials.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier it stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series arrives at Disney + this Friday (19).
